About Tonia

I'm a 53-year-old mom with many years of hands-on experience working with children. I started babysitting as a teenager, later taught in public school after earning my BS in Elementary Education, and then raised and homeschooled my own two children (a 23-year-old daughter and 21-year-old son). Both grew up to be extremely active and curious-and even competed on American Ninja Warrior multiple times. I'm compassionate, patient, positive, and upbeat, with a calm communication style that helps kids feel supported and encouraged. I'm creative and love crafting. I also love to read and have a deep love of learning, which I enjoy sharing with children. My family enjoys an active lifestyle such as hiking and swimming. I bring that same energy into the time I spend with kids. Whether it's helping with learning, reading together, leading outdoor adventures, creating crafts, or simply being a steady, caring presence, I genuinely enjoy connecting with children and supporting their growth.
