I am an honors student at UMKC in the music therapy program. I was inspired to pursue this degree after being a paraprofessional at Blue Springs High School and realizing that I wanted to work in special education long term while also using my love for music to help people. As I work my way through school, I am looking for a part-time position in which I can use my gifts, skills, and experience to provide excellent, compassionate care. I have 2. 5 years of caregiving experience (having worked with individuals as young as 3 and as old as 24), which prepared me for my role as a para in the years to come. From these jobs I learned that respect is reciprocal, that my patience runs deep, and that joy is continuous in this field. I am a driven and empathetic individual, and I would love to be a caregiver for your family.
