Hi there, my name is Timothy. I am a 32-year-old tutor, school aide, and writing specialist from Bloomfield. I try to bring my upbeat personality and passion for learning into everything I do. I am a recent graduate of a rigorous elementary education degree program at OU (3. 9 GPA). I also worked a paid position at the University, as the head Embedded Writing Specialist in the Writing and Rhetoric Department. This program required hundreds of hours of full-time student teaching in local classrooms. Altogether my experiences have equipped me with a broad range of academic and teaching-related skills. I confidently offer tutoring services in English from K-College, and in all other core subjects from K-8. Outside of my teaching and tutoring experience, I have won numerous writing awards in high school and college, including placing in OU's Writing Excellence Awards in the winter of 2019. I look forward to connecting with you and/or the young learner in your life!

My daughter (8y/o at the time) was reading at grade level but having difficulty sounding out longer words and had low reading stamina. She was also not confident in her skills and tended to give up easily. Timothy was so kind and fun in his approach with her, spent the time to address my concerns and also what he saw in his own evaluation with her. She is now a very confident reader, takes more time to properly sound out words (less guessing!), and has so much more stamina. She’s happily reading chapter books and flourishing academically with the sound foundation that Timothy helped to establish. High recommend Timothy!
