I've worked with children with special needs professionally for a year now, gaining hands-on experience and learning how to support their unique needs with patience, structure, and care. But my understanding goes even deeper than my job. Growing up, my sister was diagnosed with autism, so my family and I took classes together to learn how to communicate with her, support her, and give her what she needed to thrive. Because of that, this work isn't just something I do for a paycheck-it's something I truly understand on a personal level, and it's shaped the way I approach every child I work with.
