I have cared for a quadriplegic, a paraplegic, seniors with dementia and Alzheimer's. Within my five years of caregiving I have gained an understanding that the caregiver and the client need to be open and transparent about their expectations for each other with a mutual respect. I have learned to change catheters/superpubic tubes. I am CPR, first aide, and aed certified in adults, infants, and pediatrics. I am well versed on multiple hoyer/spryte a lifts. I also have a personal knowledge of a the autism spectrum as I have two autistic brothers.
