About Tia

I worked as a preschool teacher for 3 years, and very quickly found a passion for helping the kids in my class who got overwhelmed by a classroom setting. I truly belive that every child deserves a chance to learn, and deserves a teacher that will help them at their pace. I'm looking for a job that involves working with special education. I am autistic myself, and can communicate and solve problems very well for kiddos who struggle with getting overstimulated. I study the Montessori method of child-led learning, to make education fun instead of scary. Instead of behavior reports for the kids who struggle, I instead touch base with their parents, learn their triggers, and figured out how to communicate with them on their level. My skills include communication, kindness, problem solving, and "tiny chaos control"
