About Thomas

We have been so happy with our tutoring experience with Thomas! For background, my very motivated and math-loving 8th grade son was setting up his highschool schedule and realized for an optimal schedule he should have Alerbra 2 completed before highschool. We went on a search for a tutor to teach him an entire year's worth of Algebra 2 in 3 months. We had hired our first tutor, who simply couldn't keep up with my son's learning pace, so we looked into options on care.com and found Thomas. From the very first communications, Thomas was very responsive and personable. My son's his first session with Thomas went great, and he really clicked with his friendly personality and teaching style. My son has been working with Thomas for about 7 weeks now, 3 hours a week and has already reviewed all the Algerbra 2 curriculum (it was amazing to have Thomas to keep up with my son's learning pace). My son says it's very easy to learn from Thomas, and that he is very patient, checks in often to ensure understanding, and takes the time to provide extra explanation when needed. Thomas is now working with T to master Algebra 2 skills and seeks out extra challenges for my son. Thomas offers in person and online sessions, and my son has been able to learn efficiently using the online options. As a parent, I overhear some of the sessions and very happy with Thomas's approach and interactions with my son. He is also extremely responsive and reliable! He hasn't cancelled or rescheduled any sessions which was key in order for my son to get through so much material in so little time. Based on our personal experience, and Thomas's impressive credentials, I would recommend him to anyone in need of a math tutor!
