About Therese

I have worked in a wide variety of care situations over the past five years, including clients with advanced Parkinson's, dementia and general aging decline and fragility. My most recent position was caring for a 95 yr old man who was remarkably capable until he passed. During my shifts I prepared meals, did grocery shopping, helped with errands and driving to doctor appointments. As he declined I aided with transfers from his wheelchair to the toilet or chair and general hygiene. I currently have a client (a woman 91), several shifts per week, who I aid with meals, companionship, assistance while using her walker (she is fairly unstable) administering evening medication, toileting assistance, dressing for bed and general bedtime routine. I am especially skilled at preparing meals that provide a sense of nurture and nutrition, general hygiene, mobility assistance and companionship. I provide my clients with patience, compassion, and meet them wherever they are at on any given day.
