I've taken care of a diverse group of people from fully functioning to completely dependent. I am a certified nursing assistant and have worked extensively with physical and occupational therapy along with dementia care. With all of this experience also comes knowledge of proper transfer techniques, activities of daily living (bathing, feeding, and proper hygiene), and experience with wheelchairs, and walking devices. I can also assist with medications, diabetic care, wound care, and splints/braces. Each individual has very specific needs and I will work with you to develop a detailed plan to bring the best quality of life to your loved one. Terri cared for me while I was confined to bed. She did housework and prepared meals. (she's a good cook although my appetite was lacking). She watched my meds carefully as I was on strong painkillers and left detailed notes for the other caregivers. Terri is a good listener and kept me company in addition to her duties. She was very good with my dog who didn't understand what was going on.
