I taught in an elementary school then worked as a play therapist with children aged birth- five and provided respite care. After raising my children (while tutoring, having a day care, and substitute teaching), I moved to Huntington, IN and was a substitute teacher for years and then taught in a combined special needs/ typical child preschool room. My most recent position has been a 5+ year as a nanny to one child. He was non-verbal for almost 2 years and we used sign language, modeling, and speech therapy until he began to talk. He is doing so well as a thriving and fun 6-year-old! I am sad to leave him but we have timed out! I am an energetic and young grandma and look forward to helping your littles reach their developmental milestones in fun and engaging ways!
