I have taught special needs individuals since 1985. High school- Special needs preschool and babysitting a Downs Syndrome toddler. College-volunteered with special needs individuals and was a substitute in adult group homes. I taught 1 year then worked with the handicapped from birth-age five for 5 years and provided respite care. While raising my children I was a tutor, had a day care, and was a preschool substitute. I was a substitute teacher for 10 years, reinstated my teaching license, then taught typical and special needs preschoolers. I have worked with those who have a variety of diagnosed and un-diagnosed labels including Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Autism spectrum, ADHD, Downs Syndrome, and developmental delays. Recently, I was a nanny for one child for 5 years. I will be available after school starts (except for a vacation already scheduled for 1 extended weekend Sept 18-22). I am not available for employment prior to Aug. 25, 2025 but am available for interviews.
