About Theodora

Teddy has been caring for our now 1-year-old daughter since she was 5 months old.  We hired Teddy because she stood out in terms of her background, knowledge, and experience, as well as her genuine care for and interest in little ones that was clear from the first time we met her.  She takes a genuine interest in our daughter, and cares for her as if she were her family, while also being professional.  She is observant and asks thoughtful questions to get to know her, her needs, and our family, and has a calm and patient nature, which was so important for our daughter.  She was unphased by crying and gently calmed her and engaged her.  Teddy always asks what else she can be working on with our daughter to support her development.  Our daughter loves when she sings to her and is silly with her!  Our daughter is always excited to see Teddy and reaches for her right away when she arrives in the morning!  Teddy is attentive, fun, and silly with our daughter, while being firm and setting limits when needed to keep her safe.  She is super accommodating, and always respectful of our wishes and child rearing style, and asks questions to ensure she understands our preferences.  She takes our daughter to different activities like our library's story time, the local playground, and walks around the neighborhood.  She is knowledgeable about child development, and has wonderful ideas for how to help our daughter grow and learn.  She helped us carry out our sleep training plan, cared for her when she was sick, and has been working with her to explore new foods.  She is fantastic at keeping our daughter on a schedule, while also being flexible depending on what she needs.  We never have to worry when our daughter is in Teddy's care.  We know she is well-cared for, safe, and learning and having fun!  We know Teddy will keep us updated about anything we should know or any changes that need to be acted on during the day!  We are so happy to have Teddy as an important part of our daughter's and our lives!  Any family would be lucky to have her!
