Thelma came to our home, interviewed and was hired. Subsequently, we let our previous caregiver go. The weekend before she was supposed to start, we kept leaving her messages and she promised to call Saturday morning. We should have taken the hint. She did not call, and texted that it had "slipped her mind" as she was busy with a school play and then dinner. THELMA DID NOT SHOW UP the morning she was supposed to start, but rather texted saying she was in a car accident on the way and was going to the hospital. She also said her phone was broken in the accident and couldn't call and would call from a landline, which she never did. She kept texting. To make a long story short, she strung us along for a week- (she said had to deal with insurance, Verizon, and a swollen knee, etc.) and was once AGAIN supposed to start work this morning and guaranteed that she would be there at 9. NO CALL! NO SHOW! She has left a wheelchair-bound client without care. Ludicrously unprofessional behavior!
