About Thea

Hello! I'm Thea, I have 15+ years of experience in childcare. I am certified in basic life support which is an expanded version of CPR. I hold a BS in psychology with a focus on early child development and family systems. I began working with children more than 15 years ago as a babysitter. I have also held roles as a live in nanny to 3 young children, as a care provider at an after school program where I was responsible for coordinating activities and providing care for 15-20 children, and also as a case manager for disabled and at risk youth ages 16-24. My most important childcare role is as a parent myself. I began fostering my wonderful oldest daughter at 20 years old when she was 11, became a step parent to another when she was 3, now have a 15-month-old. I have experience both professionally and personally providing exemplary care from infancy through to the wild age of 24. Nothing brings me more joy than connecting, creating, and playing with children!
