About Thais

Thais is simply amazing - I truly can’t think of a better person to care for children. She is the most genuine, creative, trustworthy, dependable, warm, and hard-working person you can imagine, and she had an incredibly positive impact on our children and our entire family. She was our nanny for several years, from when our kids were very young until they were in school, and she also cared for them after school. At the time, I was feeling overwhelmed after having our third child, and while I was initially hesitant about hiring a nanny (I didn’t love the idea of relying on one person for care or having someone outside our family so involved in raising our children) hiring Thais ended up being one of the best decisions we ever made. One of her references told me, “Thais is the real deal,” and that couldn't be more true. Our kids are a bit cautious/shy, but they quickly warmed up to her. To this day (my oldest is now 16), they still love seeing her and spending time with her. When Thais was caring for our children, I would often come home from work to find them happily playing games, doing crafts, or spending time outside. She respected our preference to avoid screens and TV, and instead kept them engaged with creative activities and outdoor play. She even included neighborhood kids in their group play - the whole neighborhood loved her. She was also incredibly thoughtful and capable with day-to-day care. She often had the kids showered, helped with dinner (always checking with me first), and cooked wonderful, healthy meals . Somehow even getting my kids to eat things I couldn’t, like beans! It was always completely comfortable having her in our home, and she took such good care of both our kids and our space. Thais moved away for a period of time and has since returned to the Boston area, and we’ve stayed very close throughout. Whenever she was in the area, she's visited us and cared for our kids, which has always been great. We still see her whenever we can (we're happy she's moved back to the area!), and to this day we truly consider her part of our family. I know she has cared for multiple families with children of all different ages, including while she was with us, and it’s clear that she has had similarly positive experiences with all of them - she genuinely loves children. It actually took me a while to write this review because it’s hard to put into words just how wonderful she is and how grateful we are to have had her in our children’s lives. Anyone who is fortunate enough to have Thais care for their children will be incredibly lucky.
