I have hands-on experience working with young children with diverse needs, particularly through my time as a social work intern at LEEP Forward, a developmental therapeutic preschool. There, I supported preschool-aged children with diagnoses such as autism and ADHD through both individual and small group sessions. I helped children work on goals like emotional regulation, flexibility, and engagement, and facilitated structured activities to support social-emotional learning, turn-taking, and fine motor development. I also participated in daily classroom routines, including academic readiness activities like handwriting and early literacy. My approach is always strengths-based, playful, and individualized to each child's unique needs and learning style.
