About Tessie

I'm 22 and have been caring for children since I was a teenager. I have my bachelors degree in psychology and neuroscience and am certified in CPR and First Aid. I'm available to care for up to three children, ages 0 to 12, I'm comfortable with pets and have a car with a clean driving record. As a babysitter and nanny I create a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and be themselves. I'm patient, calm, creative, very friendly and keep kids away from screens by engaging them in playing games, sports or doing other activities such as crafts, baking, and reading. When it comes to household rules, I follow the parents lead and am comfortable enforcing them as needed. I believe that open communication is key, and I regularly update parents about their child's day, either verbally at pickup or via text or phone call, depending on their preference.
