About Tess

Tess has cared for my, now 83-year old Mom, since 2011, when my Mom moved here from Michigan to live with my sister. I remember Mom telling me the minute she met Tess, she knew she was the one! In one word, Tess is AMAZING!!! She has a wonderful disposition, adorable Louisiana accent and is capable of doing anything anyone needs!!! She is kind, patient, respectful, always makes sure Mom has an arm when necessary, takes her anywhere she wants to go and does anything my Mom asks of her - even taking care of my Mom's paraplegic dog!! You couldn't ask for more!! My Mom has epilepsy, so she started out looking for someone to drive her where she wanted to go. She needed to shop, go out to lunch, work out at the YMCA, go to the library, get her hair and nails done, go to the lawn and garden centers, go to doctor's appointments, go to the vet, etc. Tess was that someone and more! She keeps a calendar of Mom's appointments and makes sure she gets to every one on time! She and my Mom have become very close over the years. My Mom even invited Tess and her husband to her 80th birthday party. They have become very good friends!! My sister became very sick soon after Tess started working with my Mom, so my Mom had to take over the household. Tess helped her every step of the way. When my sister passed away, and we had to sell her home, Tess assisted my Mom in getting everything packed up, moved to storage rooms, took items to the women's shelter, etc. Mom couldn't have done it without her! Tess also helped her find her new apartment! I could go on and on about Tess. Rest assured she is one in a million and I would recommend her without an ounce of hesitation. I have recently retired and will now be available to help assist my Mom. Otherwise, Tess would still be caring for her! Tess is an absolute blessing to our family and will always be a good friend!!
