About Tess

I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Fine Arts degree, before I was a fine arts major I was an art education major focusing on elementary ages. I've been babysitting and nannying for the past 6+ years. Most of what my jobs entailed was picking up and dropping off kids from school and school activities, food prep or making meals, keeping the house tidy, running errands obviously and making sure that the kids were safe and having fun. I was also a camp counselor for an all girls camp in the past for 3 years dealing with ages ranging from 7 to 16. My job required me to be fully responsible for a group of 6 to 12 girls at all times. Making sure they all got along ( that was a fun challenge hah!) and where having a blast. I love my job as a counselor and frequently miss it. The areas I taught were wilderness and camping skills, as I love the outdoors, and also have pursued careers in ski instructing and as a kayaking, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing guide.
