About Tessa

We hired Tessa to take care of our 1-year-old and 3 year old while attending a wedding. We came in from Canada, so on top of our kids being somewhat shy (we live in a small village, without regular daycare or babysitters, and our oldest was born right before the first Covid lock-down), they were also coping with a new environment, jet-lag etc. Tessa was AMAZING!!! Not only was she available super short notice as our initial babysitter fell through, but she also went above and beyond in taking care of them, bringing her own supplies to do some paintings and creative play. She even managed to put them to sleep, and both slept until the morning without any interruptions. The first thing our older girl said the next morning: "Where is Tessa?" When I told her she had gone back home, she said: "Aww. I miss her." It was so cute. We could not have been happier, especially since our children are not really used to be with other people. It was an amazing experience for all of us, and a very comforting one for us parents. Tessa also sent pictures throughout her time with the kids, which I very much appreciated. I definitely recommend her as an amazing person to take care of kids. We would hire her full-time, if we were living in Pittsburgh - any child and any family is fortunate to have her.
