About Terry

My story with education began when I home educated my children, who have since gone on to complete college at the top of their class. Branching out from this role, I became a preschool teacher and then the director of a nonprofit which provided educational support for at-risk youth. Having moved from Pennsylvania to Brunswick in June, I am just beginning to look for employment locally. Understanding that children learn what they love better than what they must, I prioritize getting to know the kids, and 'how they tick' so that I can tailor the learning experience to their personality. I also think it is important to make their lessons engaging by connecting the subject matter to the bigger, real-life picture if possible. I have had local experience working with a family as a childcare provider, which also involved tutoring occasionally. I have provided their information in the reference section.
