In the year of 2000, after I graduated high school I took a class to become a Certified Nursing Assistant CNA when I got my certificate, my grandma had a stroke which paralyzed her right side so instead of working in a facility I began to take care of her on a daily basis which included; assisting with daily living, bathing, grooming, housekeeping laundry, cooking, feeding, transferring. This care was very challenging but it was definitely worth it not because she was my grandma its because I have a passion about helping the needy and this is why I'm a caregiver. In 2010 my grandma passed way. November 2011, I moved to Rochester NY. February 2012 I began to take care of a husband and a wife 'private case' until Feb. 2016. Oct. 13 2017, I got my HHA 'Home Health Aid' certificate. December 2017 I started working for Comfort Keepers as companion care almost 10 years later I'm still offering that care and private care also. I have been in the health care field over 20+ years.
