I'd describe my personality as fun, honest, and organized. I like tutoring because I love working with kids. I have worked with children for 20+ years and love to watch them "get it". I am good at finding the missing piece that interferes with a childs fully understanding an idea, skill, or concept. I love watching that light of understanding turn on in a child. I'm looking for a job that is rewarding for both the persons I work with and myself. I started tutoring when I was working in the public schools as a Speech/Language Pathologist. I realized then that many children struggled with learning in the classroom setting and benefited from extra time to I am excellent at getting kids to open up, finding a childs area of need, and helping them be successful and more confident in school. Plus, even though I'm older kids love me!
