I have been a registered nurse 25 years in home care, last 13 years in hospice, prior to that assisted living focusing on memory care units. I have extensive training in Alzheimer's/dementia. I will approach each opportunity with loving compassion and care, meeting your loved one where they are. The last 2-3 years I have been blessed to serve families and loved ones that I have connected through care. com. I believe this is where my nursing career was meant to lead me. I am looking to provide personalized care to assist with long term or short term care needs. I am comfortable with all levels of care from total physical cares to companionship. I have many interests including puzzles, reading, games, multiple crafts, crocheting, gardening, and many more. Teri is an experienced, knowledgeable caregiver with a heart of gold. She has cared for my father for almost a year and in that time we have come to see her as part of our family. She is a great communicator. She takes initiative when my crazy schedule had me fumbling, she was right there to problem solve. Teri takes feedback well, both positive and constructive and her care for her clients is evident in everything she does. We will dearly miss her and are sad to have to transition to memory care. The next family who has the privilege of working with her is very lucky.
