About Terika

I have over three years of experience in personal care and dementia care. Originally from Jamaica, I migrated to the United States in 2018, where I continued my high school education. I began caring for elderly individuals in Connecticut in 2019 and have since gained valuable hands-on experience working with patients living with dementia. For nearly two years, I worked in a live-in caregiving role supporting patients with dementia. This experience helped me develop patience, compassion, and a deeper understanding of how to effectively care for individuals with this condition. It also strengthened my ability to communicate, provide emotional support, and create a safe and comfortable environment for my patients. I am a hardworking, goal-oriented, and dependable individual who is always willing to learn and grow professionally. I believe that, if given the opportunity, I would be a valuable asset and would continue to develop and enhance my skills within this field.
