Hello my name is Teresea, I have over 10 years experience working with children from the ages of six months to nine years of age. I've worked as a nanny while , taking care of children, I would provide homework help, read books, encourage creativity with arts and crafts, gone on walks do light housework, and prepare meals. I also would take the children to the library, art classes, parks, and taking them to their extracurricular activities. For the past eight years I have worked for St. Clare School as an office manager where I interacted daily with children from grades TK to eighth grade. I also assisted in the TK and kindergarten classroom on a regular basis. I have 9 units in early child development education. I'm a non smoker CPR certified and I have reliable transportation. Teresea has been babysitting for my two kids since Nov 2017, about twice a week in the evenings. She is GREAT! The kids love her and my husband and I feel very comfortable leaving the kids in her care. She is always punctual, reliable, communicates well and notifies me if there is (very rarely) a change in plans, and is willing to adjust to new situations and requests. She is very patient and gives the child the space they need. My 14 month old took a few weeks to warm up and Teresea worked with her each visit in a very gentle way without imposing herself till she was comfortable with her. Teresea tries to model her approach to match mine, which is helpful. My children are generally well-behaved and not strong-willed so I don't know how she would be with an energetic, tantrum-throwing child but I know she would find a way to work through the situation with patience. I strongly recommend her!
