About Teresa

As our elderly aunt’s cognitive abilities and memory declined, and her ability to care for herself became very limited, Teresa came to our rescue. For the last eight months of our aunt’s life, Teresa brought her training and expertise as a CNA, along with decades of experience, to help us care for our aunt. Teresa was a devoted caregiver, who generously worked long hours at critical times (including two hospitalizations) as our aunt’s struggles increased. We trusted Teresa, so much so that she joined us for my aunt’s appointments with physicians, nurse practitioners, and physical therapists, and we her sought her opinion in hiring additional caregivers. Because we had limited experience in caring for an elderly family member, we asked for, and regularly heeded Teresa’s suggestions and recommendations for possible treatments, medications, supplies and medical equipment that brought relief and comfort to our aunt and, by extension, to us. Teresa’s training and experience were invaluable, and as our aunt’s advocate she made sure that our aunt had everything she needed. Teresa was a comforting presence in our aunt’s life, and like us, our aunt knew that she could depend on her. Without question our aunt’s quality of life improved dramatically with Teresa’s care.
