my name is tehya. I am 21. I was adopted by my grandparents when I was 7 and not long after that, my grandfather would get into an accident that ended up breaking his back and he became a paraplegic. when I turned 10 I became one of his caregivers. I had to learn how to get him in and out of bed, change diapers, deal with medications, help with meals and so much more. I continued to be his caregiver until he passed in june of 2021.
