About Tegan

I like working with kids because I'm comfortable being playful/silly and really enjoys kids' unique sense of humor. Growing up as the oldest sister to 4 younger siblings, I've always felt comfortable being around children. I'm looking for a job that is either one-time or reoccurring w/ a great family who values open communication. I started working with kids 3 years ago when I began nannying for a family in Eau Claire. Their family grew as I got to know them and I was lucky to get to know and take care of 2 great kids. Now that they have recently moved, I began subbing at elementary/middle schools in the area and love every second of it. While I am looking to stay busy in the summer, I am open to still continuing working with families regularly during the school year! My skills include being patient, de-escalating frustrated children and working to calm them down, and with my background in elementary education I enjoy helping with homework or working on new skills for school!
