About Tegan

I love working with kids because I adore fostering their passions. One of the biggest joys in my life is being able to support my community as an educator, and I really found my calling working in childcare. I'm always blown away by children's enthusiasm and individuality, which is why I'm pursuing my degree in pediatric psychology at the UIUC. In my free time, I like to paint Minifigures, write lyrics and compose. I teach vocals as well as sing classic opera, I write D&D campaigns. I'm also learning to 3D model and print. One thing to know about me is that I have extensive experience working as a culinary camp instructor/counselor for over 7 years, and consequentially developed a passion and love for educating people on food/kitchen safety and preparation. My skills include fostering creativity, encouraging kindness, and helping children develop healthy habits. I am CPR/First aid/AED certified and am ECE certified.
