In a nutshell, I'm just a young girl who developed a passion for the elderly because of my own grandparents. My mom has been in the medical field for almost 30+ years, so often times I would spent time with my grandparents whenever she needed to go in. My grandmother was a missionary at our church so I would always tag along with her to visit the "sick and shut-in" in hospitals and nursing homes or even houses. My Papa would cut wood and visit other seniors in the community, so I'd be by his side. As I grew older, I realized helping elders is a safe and familiar place for me because I'd only treat elders as I would want my own to be treated. I actually have hopes of owning my own Adult Day Care facility one day that focuses on physical health, companionship, and cognitive health.
