About Tayvia

I'm an experienced educator with a background in elementary special education, preschool, and early childhood education. I especially enjoy working with children who may need concepts explained in a different way, extra patience, or a little help rebuilding their confidence as learners. Rather than simply repeating something that isn't clicking, I look for another way to teach it using visuals, real-life examples, movement, games, or breaking a skill into smaller steps. I believe learning should be encouraging and engaging--not a source of constant frustration. I'm comfortable supporting elementary-aged students with reading, writing, math, homework, foundational skills, and general academic support. My special education background has also given me extensive experience adapting instruction to meet individual learning needs.
