I am a career nanny with 16+ years of experience in early childcare. I started as a preschool teacher and transitioned to nannying 5 years ago. Since then, I've been nannying primarily for one family. A few basics for children that I believe are essential: Fine and Gross motor skills Sensory fulfillment Outdoor play Healthy eating Independent play Connection My greatest passion in my work is character building. I prioritize social, emotional, and behavioral development in my daily interactions, using forethought, routines, and playfulness. A few values and skills that I focus on to help build a child's character: Reducing overstimulation Communication Frustration tolerance Sharing/turn-taking Independence Contributing to a team/family I am also happy to incorporate academic foundations. I believe these combined elements prepare children for a successful schooling experience, but also for strong personal relationships and a lifelong foundation for their mental and emotional well-being.
