About Tawnya

Tawnya cared for our daughter (from when she was 2.5 to 4.5) and for us as a house manager during that time. She is kind, thoughtful, and extremely diligent. She was fantastic with our daughter, who loves her and misses her when she's not at our house. She is great with managing daily afterschool activities, which for us included picking up our daughter from school, giving her a bath, and giving her an after school snack and dinner. Tawnya also planned fun adventures for days when our daughter was off from school or camp, taking her to fun places all over the DC area. She would come up with games, art projects, and other things for them to play with at home as well. She also managed replenishing the things our daughter needed regularly from bath supplies, to socks, and clothes. Tawnya also worked as our house manager, and in that role, she cooked our meals, bought our groceries, did our laundry, and generally just took care of anything we needed (and even anticipated things that we had not even thought of). She arranged for donation pick ups and organized our home. She planned our daughter's birthday parties. She truly handled much of the mental load for two very busy working parents and allowed us to spend so much quality time with our daughter that we otherwise would have had to spend managing our home. We are extremely sad to not be working with Tawnya anymore, and could not recommend her more to the next family she works with.
