I highly value the knowledge and life lessons that I have gained from working with the seniors. No one can teach you more about life than someone who has truly lived it. When I was 13, I began to care for my grandfather. This included feeding, bathing, changing and keeping him genuine company. It made me realize that we aren't alive for very long and time is the only true commodity. Everyone deserves to be treated equal and I always try my best to be kind to the elderly especially given the reputation that nursing homes have for mistreating their patients. I sympathize for the elderly and love to do everything in my power to make sure they enjoy my company and the moments we spend together. The woman I currently care for can attest to my pampering. Every visit she receives a gentle bath, full pedicure and manicure, home cooked meals, hair styling, general house upkeep (change sheets, wash clothes, dishes and etc.) along with a blood pressure check and scheduled medical appointments.
