About Tatum

Empowering elementary students to reach their full potential is the core of my teaching practice. With five years of experience, I prioritize building confidence and fostering a genuine love for learning over simple memorization. I create a supportive, patient environment where I adapt my methods--using visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions--to match your child's unique learning style. I believe open communication with parents is essential to building trust and setting clear expectations for success. When students face challenging concepts, I celebrate their small wins and provide consistent positive reinforcement to keep them engaged. My favorite part of tutoring is witnessing that "aha!" moment when a difficult concept finally clicks. I hold a college degree and am comfortable working with pets in your home or any preferred community space. I am truly passionate about helping your child develop the critical thinking skills they need to thrive.
