For eight years, I have helped students unlock their potential. I hold a graduate degree and specialize in Math, English, Study Skills, and History for elementary, middle, and high school students. My focus is on building confidence and fostering a love for learning, not just memorization. I aim to create an engaging, supportive, and patient learning environment. By actively listening and observing their initial interactions with new material, I assess a student's individual learning style. I vary my teaching strategies using visual aids, hands-on activities, discussions, and practice problems. I celebrate small successes and provide consistent positive reinforcement. Open communication is essential for understanding your needs, progress, and setting clear expectations. Witnessing a student's "aha!" moment when a concept clicks is the most rewarding aspect of tutoring. I have a car and am comfortable with pets. I am also CPR and First Aid trained.
