About Tasmiah

Hi! I'm a recent Wesleyan University graduate who just moved to NYC as an NYC Urban Fellow for the city government. On the side, I'm looking to tutor and babysit. I've got a lot of experience tutoring writing (K-12, college level, and adults) as well as elementary level math. I can also help with time management and study skills. I'd describe my personality as curious, patient, and open-minded. I like tutoring because it is a learning experience for me as much as the person I'm working with! I'm looking for a job where I can help people achieve their goals. I started tutoring when I was a freshman in college. In my spare time, I like to run, craft, and watch my favorite shows! One thing you should know about me is I'm always up for a challenge. My skills include helping students clearly articulate their thoughts in writing, creating plans to manage multiple tasks, and helping students feel like they can achieve anything they put their mind to.
