About Taryn

I have meaningful experience caring for older adults, shaped largely by helping care for my father as his health declined. He was a Vietnam War veteran who faced serious respiratory issues, and being involved in his day-to-day care taught me patience, empathy, and the importance of dignity and compassion in caregiving. I assisted with daily routines, provided emotional support, monitored his comfort and well-being, and learned how much consistency, kindness, and clear communication matter when caring for older individuals. As a nursing student, I bring a strong sense of responsibility, attentiveness, and respect to caring for older adults, and I'm especially mindful of safety, comfort, and maintaining independence whenever possible. I'm passionate about supporting older adults in a way that makes them feel heard, valued, and genuinely cared for.
