Hello! My name is Taryn. I love teaching, exploring outside and being around kids. I have worked in a variety of settings with children; including as a nanny for 7 years, at Children's Hospital in their diagnostic classroom for 5 years and as a Pre-K teacher at Pepitas Bilingual Preschool for the last 13 years. As a nanny, I worked with kids 6 weeks to 7 years-old. I worked with 7 families, 2 of those families I worked with for over 5 years. I worked closely with parents to establish sleep, eat and play routines, developed and implemented age and developmental level appropriate activities for each child including art, science, reading, imaginative play, fine and gross motor play, school readiness activities and the natural world; assisted each child in problem solving through techniques such as emotion coaching, validation, and by instructing them in replacement skills and I created daily written summaries for each child's schedule, experiences, and accomplishments.

Taryn and I spoke over the phone and she is one of the most mature, competent caregiver I've ever spoken with. First of all, all of her correspondence are prompt and courteous. From our conversation, she seems to have a good grasp and experience on how to handle infants and works with their challenges. I would have love to schedule a face-to-face meeting with her or even do a trial nanny day, but our schedule and proximity are a bit difficult to work out. The 4-star is because I haven't really meet her in person, I'm sure I would have given her a 5-star had we met. I sincerely hope Taryn will find a good family to work with. I am really impressed by her and perhaps I can use her service in the future.
