In college, I was the Vice President of Foundation for my sorority, Delta Gamma's National Philanthropy, Service for Sight in which I did a lot of work within the blind and visually impaired community. Through my charitable work, I ended up befriending and working with one blind individual, Denise Decker, in which I would take her grocery shopping, read her mail, assist in paying her bills and more, once a month for 10+ years. Unfortunately, Denise passed away in November of 2020 and ever since then I've felt a void in my life. Therefore, I would love to be a part of the Care community so I can re-engage in caring for and befriending the elderly. Additionally, I was in the pre-selection Medical Program at George Washington University and before opting out of the program, I did a rotation in Geriatrics and loved it!
