About Tara

I specialize in reading with kids, English Language Arts, Art, test prep, computers, and creative projects. I'm a professional artist, longtime caregiver, and former stay-at-home mother of 15 years with deep experience supporting kids of all ages. I spent over 15 years as a professional on-call nanny and served as an art docent in my children's schools, giving me a strong foundation in teaching creativity and classroom-style guidance. I'm energetic yet calming, skilled at meeting learners exactly where they're at, and comfortable working with many personalities and situations. Having lived may places in the US and traveling around the world, I bring real life experience, curiosity, and a flexible, encouraging approach to every student I work with.
