About Tara

As an experienced elementary teacher, I know what it takes to motivate, engage, and help students learn. I have teaching experience in first through fifth grades. In addition, I have tutored dozens of students from a diverse background with a broad range of learning needs. I have worked with a wide variety of students including English Language Learners, special needs students, and gifted and talented students. In 2012, I completed my Master of Education program through Grand Canyon University. I am a certified elementary teacher in the state of Colorado. As a reading and math specialist, I have specific training in Common Core and varied learning techniques that will help your child achieve. As a tutor, I take to time to learn about your child as an individual and as a student. Not only will I assess what your child knows and needs to know, I identify motivators for your child as an individual. By knowing your child as an individual and a learner, I can create lessons and activities that are engaging and targeted to his or her needs.
