I am not certified but I have 16 years of real life experience with taking care of my mom. She had a number of health conditions that I managed to take care of for the majority of her life. She had tonic seizures, heart issues, osteoporosis, dementia, COPD, anorexia, Ovarian Cancer, open wound care, I also take care of my dad who has heart issues, diabetes, nerve and leg issues and sleep apnea. I was the sole caretaker for both of my parents for the past 20 years and I have performed C. P. R. at least 4 times saving my mom's life after her seizures. I have rehabilitated my mom after serious falls . I was responsible for 24 hr care while my mom was alive. Some of my responsibilities include cleaning wounds, cleaning house, feeding and cooking meals, distribution of medications for both of my parents, taking them to DR. appointments, bathing them, monitoring their food, medications, exercise routines, blood pressure and sugar levels.
