About Taona

As a Mathematics major with tutoring and mentoring experience, I enjoy helping students build confidence and succeed academically. I have tutored college students from freshman through senior year in computer science subjects, including introductory programming, object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms. I also tutor mathematics ranging from College Algebra and Pre-Calculus through the full Calculus sequence. I also volunteered with the PHA after-school program, where I helped students with homework, schoolwork, and study skills. My teaching approach focuses on understanding concepts rather than memorization. I break down complex topics into manageable steps, adapt to each student's learning style, and create a supportive environment where questions are encouraged. Whether preparing for exams or completing assignments, I am committed to helping students reach their academic goals.
