About Tamra

Spent 3 years as an Engagement Companion Specialist for a senior with dementia who was unaware of her decline. I took her on outings that aligned with her interests and brought her joy while covertly facilitating her interactions in a manner that protected her dignity. We enjoyed hikes, pickleball, cooking, music, animals, art shows, performances, presentations, festivals, and other community activities. I have a Bachelor's degree in Mech. Engineering, but I put my career on hold to raise 2 kids. With each stage of childhood, came re-evaluation of a return to work. But the evolving challenges of a child with developmental delays and the rewards of flexible volunteer work, justified our single income lifestyle. Now that my kids have graduated college, I'm pursuing things that bring me joy: time with family/friends, babysitting, pickleball, and researching nutrition and microbiome health. I love sharing what I've learned at no extra charge. Hint: eat more veggies - a lot more!
