About Tammy

I am a Montessori educator with experience helping seniors remain independent, capable, and engaged. As Community Access Manager at an art museum, I managed senior programs, including programs for individuals with Alzheimer's and dementia, and worked with adults with autism. I have Montessori training, an Alzheimer's and dementia certificate, and training in creating supportive environments for older adults. I am patient, caring, empathetic, and dependable. I enjoy helping seniors maintain their independence, confidence, and self-esteem. My approach is to observe each individual, provide help when needed, and allow them the time to accomplish tasks without being rushed. I began caring for seniors as my parents grew older and experienced health challenges. In my spare time, I enjoy my Old English Sheepdogs, family, travel, gardening, sewing, embroidery, and art. I am always early, go above and beyond, and take initiative when I see something that needs to be done.
