I have a Masters degree in Counseling and specialization in Child and Family Development. After graduate school, my husband and I started an inner city ministry in Durham. I developed and supervised a tutoring program for at-risk elementary students. I home-schooled my children preschool through middle school. Both of my boys were reading by the time they were four due to fun hands-on learning opportunities throughout their preschool years. After retiring from homeschooling my children, I homeschooled for a family with 5 family, including a 6-year-old with Down Syndrome. I enjoy making learning fun!
