About Tammy

I am so passionate when it comes to the elderly and the young. I learn the most from both ends of the spectrum. I am very patient, understanding and empathetic. In 2015, my brother (cancer) and best friend (ALS) were both diagnosed with terminal illnesses. I left my full time job to devote all my time with both of them. Care consisted of a lot of LOVE, a lot of understanding and listening as well as personal care (bathing, dressing, lifting, feeding, medication, etc.) I lost my brother in 2016, lost my friend in 2017. In 2018, I had to take care of my aging father. It was a lot of devastation in 3 years, but the time I spent with all of them was priceless to me. I have unique ideas with working with the elderly. I would love to help by writing down their thoughts, memories and experiences so that if/when their final time comes - to share with their families. I would take them for walks, play cards, sing..... all to make their last few years full of love and fun, and my years rewarding
