About Tammy

I am a dedicated educator and caregiver with a strong background in special education, healthcare support, and life skills development. I began my career as a teacher assistant in 2017, gaining hands-on classroom experience supporting students across a variety of age groups and learning needs. I later worked as a substitute teacher for two years in my hometown before transitioning into a full-time teaching role. In my current position, I serve as the Life Skills Lab instructor at Maryvale High School within the Work-Based Learning program, where I work with students ages 15-22. I focus on teaching essential job readiness and real-world employment skills, both in the classroom and through off-site experiences. My instruction emphasizes independence, workplace behavior, communication, and practical skills needed for successful transition into the workforce.
